Toni Orans (full name = Toni Mae Orans, though rarely if ever, use the middle name)
What is something you would like Soupsters to know about you?
Probably Soupsters should know this most basic fact… I am, and pretty much have been my entire life, driven by my passion in most of my actions and decision making!
What’s your favorite thing about The Soup?
Favorite thing about the Soup is the fantastic (i.e. caring, compassionate, smart, conscious (usually!) creative, genuine, politically astute, fun loving, etc. etc.!) community of people who make it up!
What is one thing you hope might happen at The Soup?
I hope that someday someone is inspired to do some kind of documentary about the event itself and the people who are all a part of it so that all the good yumminess can somehow get out into the ‘bigger picture?!’ (though I also realize how unrealistic that hope is considering it’s a ‘private affair’ by its very design!)
What is something almost nobody knows about you?
Something I think most people don’t know about me is that I’ve never been truly sure where my real ‘home’ is… beyond my heart
What is a memory of Soup that makes you smile?
One of my many memories of Soup is just dancing the night away when Rupa & the April Fishes played ~ I just couldn’t make myself leave the dance ‘floor!’ though was trying desperately to get myself to bed! HA!
Anything else you would like us to know?
I guess the only other thing I really want you to know is how very grateful I am to be a part of this amazing community of people and how much I miss seeing ‘everyone…’ I have been helped with various things by different people in the group and would like to offer the same, if and when at all possible to anyone who needs my talent, skill and/or ability, so am hoping to pay it forward to anyone whenever someone may reach out.
