Soupy Camp out is ON

------

Look at your calendar, just 5 weeks away,

What could those June 11th-13th days have to say?

For us tis a weekend to return to the Santa Cruz hills,

Live music, fresh pool, gorgeous Redwood thrills,

Return to gathering friends, we do miss you so,

Hello again, oh my, how you did grow.

------

We're so excited to help host this, with many soupsters joining and contributing. (I understand about 20 have already said they'll be there - so come be among friends.)

Registration is now open https://www.eventcreate.com/e/helloagain

And if you are free and feeling the energizing pull of this, we'd love people to join in. Bring your activity, playshop, songs or band?

Or help/recommendations for selecting the non-profit benefit partner (that supports musicians and artists through this time).

Also seeking someone with knowledge of local Santa Cruz bands, and a portable stage.

Doing this with heart for the higher joy of community gathering.

Smile, Jules & Brian

EFF 30th Anniversary Free livestream with Cindy and Ed Snowden

Join us for a candid live discussion with NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, EFF Executive Director Cindy Cohn, EFF Director of Engineering for Certbot Alexis Hancock, and EFF Policy Analyst Matthew Guariglia as they weigh in on surveillance in our culture, activism, and the future of privacy.

Democracy, social movements, our relationships, and your own well being all require private space to thrive. But state actors and law enforcement reach for persistent mass surveillance tech with disturbing frequency. Privacy activists and ordinary people around the world stand before a growing arsenal of invasive tools in the hands of criminals and state actors alike. Our guests will discuss how mass surveillance changed us and our odds of fighting back.
