How to Make Stone Soup

Have everyone you know bring one vegetable

Bonus if they're from your garden delectable!

Clap for the kiddos veggie parade

Now it's time for Soup to be made

Ask folks to wash hands and help chop

Maybe fire up the grill and on it some whole veggies plop

(For richness of flavor a smoked veggie is hot!)

Now pause for a sip o' dragon’s drool

Cause it's summer — we gotta stay cool

Then wash hands again and start a stock

Add water and veggies to a ginormous pot

Simmer while we all laugh and smile

Sip some wine, share a story

Add more veggies and all the meanwhile

Add in some love

Let it all simmer together til you’re rich in the above

Now remove Soup from heat

Cause amigos, it is time to eat!

What a treat this whole Soup thing — so sweet!
